GRAMMAR EXERCISES

EXERCISE 1
Our beagle loves to hunt. When someone  opens the back door for her, she barrels down porch steps into the yard and she runs back and forth across the lawn in ecstasy. Her nose cruises the wet grass for smells such assmells of cats, rabbit smells, and other presences too subtle for human detection with sniffing. She spins her tail in quick circles like a clockwise and then like a counterclockwise. Sniffing and spinning always occur together which propels her along.
EXERCISE 2
The Government Printing Office in Washington D.C. , is a source of much useful information, but few people know about it. It is the official publishing house for the federal government. Video Reflection 1

There are several reasons for student's US education choice. They have a chance to do more practice, work with group and have creativity. The students are impressed by these opportunities.
The reason for Chinese student's decision is grading. To enter a university, they have to study a lot and even if they get high grades, entering may be difficult for them. In Netherland, the education is very strict, so Dutch student chose the US education. And Japanese student's excuse for selecting US education is studying in England before as a high school student. Therefore, he wants to practice more and stay in the US.
In Japan, once they chose the department, they can not make any difference. They can not change their department. On tje other hand, In China, students have to have high grades to enter a college. If we look at the Netherlands, there is very disciplined education and they can not do team work and practice. but in the US, students are flexible. So, that has made all the difference.
The amount of the money is the another reason for students to choose the US education. But it differs from students features.
Coming from different countries may result in encountering some difficulties. The students claim that they have difficulty in getting used to US. Because there are several differences from their hometowns. For example, They talk people indirectly in Japan but in the US they can talk people directly. US people say what they think.
If you are in a foreign country, it is inevitable to experience culture shock. Because, of course, each country has its own traditions. For Chinese student, people in the US wearing shorts and it is weird for her.
I want to study in US and our university gives us opportunity to go abroad in the third year. I will make use of it. It gives me a chance to specialize in the language, communicate easily and know other cultures and countries. It has some difficulties also such as culture shock, being away from my own country, having to accustome other people but I think I will get accustomed to it.
